'Cruel To Be Kind' Tour Poster 2011

I'm still booking dates for the 'Cruel To Be Kind' tour ... but I think these are the poster and leaflet designs we're going with. Any thoughts? See any spelling mistakes?

Edinburgh Comedy Collective

The" Edinburgh Comedy Collective" is a monthly show I put together at
The Stand Comedy Club.

It's a show where Edinburgh’s finest comedians experiment with the medium of Stand-Up. Everyone tries to do something a bit different. There's stand-up, sketches, character comedy.... we're even working on a game show.

Next Show: Tuesday 19th July

Featuring: Vladimir McTavish & Jay Lafferty, Graeme Thomas & Keir McAllister, "Funny's Funny 2011" finalist Eleanor Morton, Jo Caulfield & JoJo Sutherland performing the Tweets of Spencer Adair, comedy actor Ben Verth, tour guide Jim Park and MC Jo Caulfield.

Tickets On Sale Now: 0131 558 7272

Doors: 7.30pm - Show Starts: 8.30pm - Tickets: £5/4 concs

Vladimir McTavish: In addition to headline appearances throughout the UK Vladimir has appeared on a number of popular TV and radio shows, including The Empire Laughs Back (BBC1), the football game show We're On Our Way To Wembley (ITV) Velvet Cabaret (BBC Radio Scotland) and the Live Floor Show (BBC Scotland). He 'is nothing short of superb' Scotsman, and 'gleefully indulgent' Guardian.

Graeme Thomas has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in four shows. He has also appeared on Scottish Television's Loud TV, and had some scene stealing (honest, you can pause the DVD and he's acting them off the screen!) extra work in the CBS drama special Trudeau. Dogtooth Media developed his comedy short, Making a Bitter Britain, as part of a competition for Channel 4's Comedy Lab. You didn’t miss anything, it was f*cking rubbish.

Jay Lafferty is the only female stand-up in the critically acclaimed comedy troupe The Don Quixote Appreciation Society (No, I’ve never heard of them either), she performed with the Don’s for over two years selling out their stand–up/sketch shows during the Glasgow and Merchant City Comedy Festivals and Jay’s first ever solo show - Offside Rules sold out during the Glasgow Comedy Festival.

Stand-Up comedian Jojo Sutherland was a finalist in the inaugural Funny Women Comedy Awards and took part in two world record breaking events - Stand Up 150 and One Big Laugh. She has also appeared in several short films. Probably porn.

Keir McAllister has been a regular guest on Radio Scotland’s Karen Dunbar’s Summer Supplement and was recently asked to write a stand-up script for Kate Lawler for a reality TV show. Keir is also a playwright whose first play, Falling for Grace, saw critical success and a full Fringe run. Ooh, get him! He’s the ‘arty’ one.

Jim Park was the original drummer for legendary punk band, The Exploited. Hahahaha. Shortly before the band’s only performance on Top Of The Pops Jim left to complete a degree in economics. Hahahaha. Jim is now a Stand-Up Comedian performing the random, idiotic musings of a bewildered man.

Eleanor Morton is a finalist for the prestigious “Funny's Funny: Female Comedian Of The Year 2011” competition. If she doesn’t win the whole thing is a fix and should be scrapped. Anyway, we all know women aren't funny.
